Anderson Maples: Bio

Anderson Maples

Anderson Maples was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. He accepted Christ as His Savior at a young age while attending the Missionary Plantation Bible Camp in Marion, NC. He attended Ben Lippon School, a Christian prep school in Asheville, NC. It was there that Andy began playing the guitar and writing Christian songs. In 1984, Andy joined a family oriented country music show that traveled all over North America. After two years of being on the road, Andy left the traveling band to work in Atlanta Georgia. While living in Atlanta, Andy attended the North Atlanta Bible Chapel and felt that God was calling Him into full time Christian service. In 1990, Andy accepted the call to become a camp missionary at New Life Bible Camp, a position he still holds today. The camp cannot afford to pay the missionaries salaries so each one has to raise their own support. The Lord has blest Andy with the partnership of local churches and individuals who support the camping ministry. The ability to play the guitar and to write music has been a huge asset to the ministry of New Life Bible Camp and has opened many doors for Andy to meet and minister throughout the Northeast area. He often is asked to speak and teach Bible for local churches and youth groups. His project, “Carpenter” is filled with songs that speak of the truth of who God is. Andy’s hope and deepest desire is that these songs will encourage listeners and lead them into a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He new project, recorded completely in his home studio, contains 18 original songs that point to us understanding who we are in Christ so that we can become all that God intends us to be.
